Kemp Construction were appointed in 2021 as the main contractors for the prestigious refurbishment of Admirals Gate development, overlooking the river, Clyde. We are working in conjunction with Park Property Management and Nixon Consultants, over a number of years on various successful projects.
Program of Works
There are 180 flats within the development, a sizeable number of them have suffered with a water ingress problem since their construction in the early 2000’s. The refurbishment program looks to address these problems and includes removing all the old, rotted timber framed windows and doors in the forty-five balconies in the penthouse apartments. These are being replaced with new high insulation, uPVC Anthracite coloured curtain wall windows and doors. The brick balconies will also be demolished and rebuilt with internal water management cavity trays, integral balcony floor drains and then will have a new waterproof membrane applied to the balcony floor. The final element of this program encompasses applying a waterproof silicone coating to all external brickwork of all 180 flats.
New Glazing Options
We are offering all homeowners the opportunity to upgrade their existing rotted timber glazing to high insulation A-rated UPVC glazing. This investment in the new glazing will improve the insulation of the flat and help to reduce heating costs.
All the new UPVC glazing carries a 10-year warranty and will have a lifespan of over 30 years. UPVC windows & doors require little maintenance and feature high security locking throughout.
